Yan Community Hub hosted a highly meaningful and fun parent-child activity — a visit to O‑PARK 1, Hong Kong’s first organic resources recovery centre. Through the site visit, children witnessed firsthand how food waste is magically transformed into valuable biogas and compost! Through an immersive large‑screen theatre and interactive games, they easily grasped the science of environmental protection and food waste conversion. Experts explained the entire process of how food waste undergoes anaerobic digestion to be converted into renewable energy and fertiliser.
